Cyberbullying is the act of bullying using social media and devices like computers, laptops, or mobile. It becomes the modern form of bullying.
Cyberbullying mostly takes place on social media. People target someone or some organization, then post and share negative feedback and images about them. It can occur in form of text messages, Whatsapp Messages, or using any other social media platforms. Because in social media you can easily connect with people whom you may not know personally. It also gives you the opportunity to stay in disguise while bullying someone. As the use of mobile phones and the internet are increasing, the chance of cyberbullying is also increasing.

This is a very horror story about cyberbullying, where the child killed herself due to depression. Megan is a child who is suffering from dispersion from the age of eight. She had also taken the help of counseling and taking medicines. This treatment helps her a lot, and she started improving.
But the situation doesn’t stay for more. One of her female neighbors created a fake male account on social media and started talking with her. She soon feels attached to that and shares some personal information and secrets with her in private messages. Later that fake boy made those private messages public which hit her badly. Megan became more depressed and later she killed herself in her own bedroom.
Not only girls but boys also have to face cyberbullying. David is like any other young boy. He also had a girlfriend. But this is not the end of the story. He also had to face cyberbullying. The students of his school bully him by sending a negative message on social media.
Things got worst when she lost a tournament organized in school. Everything changed soon after. He lost interest in everything especially his loved gyming. Later he hung herself in the backyard of his house to get rid of the bullying.

Today we live in a society where the internet comes very easily. We kind of breathe in social media. The world is dominated by technology. Not only the kids or the teenagers, but the adults are also addicted to the internet.
Internet helps people to connect with people around the world. This is the place, virtual world where cyberbullying starts. Cyberbullies love the anonymity to find potential victims on social media. They find out some personal information about the victim and started blackmailing him.
Now if you look at the data, you will find most of the victims are of the age group of 10-18, that is the teenager. It is clearly known that the people of this age group are keener to get attention. They are easily trapped inside the online glamour and freedom. They are ready to cross the limit to gain popularity such as likes and followers in social media. You will find older victims too. But it is easy for the bullies to trap the school students and hard for them to come out of the traps.

Sometimes, victims are addicted to social media and social platforms. Again sometimes they missed their own identity and try to hide behind his fake virtual identity.
Even cyberbullying decreases the self-confidence of the victims. Which will resultant in low self-esteem. One mistake that we do, is trying to delete all the posts and massage of the bullying incident. We that in that way, we might get relief from the situation. But the real thing is different. The evidence is the key to punish them. Even we can find those people backtracking the evidence. So this is really important to keep the evidence intact and later hand it over to the police.
Don’t share extra:
It is important to keep in mind, social media gives us the opportunity to connect with people around the world. But we should also remember that they are the people whom we don’t know that much. So it’s better not to share too much personal information about you. Harassment no doubt is a big issue, but if people know your location and personal information it can hurt you a lot more.
